The Hans Merensky Chair in Advanced Modelling of Eucalypt Wood Formation
Understanding xylogenesis in the world's most widely planted hardwood species
We’re looking for applicants for 2023 for Ph.D. studies in the EucXylo program! If you have completed M.Sc. level studies (or possibly honours level under some circumstances) in forest science, computational biology, plant physiology, plant ecology, perennial horticulture or other related fields, please do apply. And please tell your colleagues.
At this stage the topic for this position is open: no specific project has been defined. As long as it relates to the modelling of growth and wood formation in eucalypts, we welcome ideas and proposals! The position comes with a full tax-free scholarship, as well as a laptop computer. Students will have the opportunity to present at at least one international conference during the candidature.
