Which programmes does the Faculty offer?

The Faculty offers the following programmes:

Undergraduate diploma programmes: Diploma in Sustainable Development

Broad degree programmes with various career focuses: BCom (Management Sciences); BCom (Economic Sciences); BCom (Mathematical Sciences); BCom (International Business); B Data Science; BCom (Management Sciences) Extended Degree Programme

Degree programmes for professional registration: BCom (Actuarial Science); BCom (Financial Accounting); BCom (Industrial Psychology); BCom (Management Accounting); BAcc

Degree programmes with a Law focus: BCom (Law) and BAccLLB

I am uncertain about which of the general BCom programmes to choose.

If you are uncertain, choose the general BCom (Management Sciences) degree. You can then choose a focal area in your second year.

I have Mathematical Literacy. Can I study at the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences?

The Faculty has only one programme that requires Mathematics OR Mathematical Literacy, viz., the Diploma in Sustainable Development. All the degree programmes require Mathematics.

May I apply for the extended BCom (Management Sciences) programme?

You will be considered for the extended BCom (Management Science) programme if you meet its admission requirements. Preference is given to candidates who comply with the socio-economic status (SES) requirements of SU’s admission policy and the SES level determined by the Faculty. SU determines all applicants’ SES scores and admission is subject to the availability of places.

English
