The Physical Oceanography Session at the SANAP 2016 Symposium held last month at the University of Pretoria was chaired by Prof Werner Nel (Department of Geography, University of Fort Hare). The session covered a wide range of oceanographic research in the Southern Ocean (Indian-Atlantic Ocean). During this session we also had the chance to understand more about ship hull safety during Antarctic operations and the vibration responses of the S.A. Agulhas II.
The Atmospheric and Space Sciences Session covered very interesting but complex topics. This session was chaired by Dr Stefan Lotz (South African National Space Agency – SANSA).
