Events
Events hosted during the Tygerberg Postgraduate Student Council (TPSC) promote the overall progression and wellbeing of postgraduate students including skills development workshops, thesis writing sessions, career fairs, discussion forums and information sessions in collaboration with different structures within Stellenbosch University, for example the Centre for Student Counselling and Development, to build networks and share valuable knowledge and resources with the postgraduate community.
Workshops and Info Sessions
The TPSC tries to support the postgraduates academically, socially and even with their journey after their research and studies by providing sessions and workshops.
Stationery Drive
The TPSC strives to foster community support, particularly within school environments. By providing essential stationery—especially during exams—it reinforces the commitment to nurturing education and empowering future generations.
TPSC Hikes
The TPSC encourages postgraduates to participate in outdoor activities such as hikes. This allows the postgraduates to enjoy the great outdoors, get in some exercise and enjoy an outing with their fellow collegues

Student Coffee Dates
The TPSC encourages engagement of students by providing the opportunity to get to know each other through coffee dates
Cultural Visits
Specifically aimed at introducing international postgraduate students to the rich heritage and history of the Western Cape.
Team building
To ensure the TPSC gains the appropriate skills and also reinforces good practices and reflection, team building exercises and outings are always encouraged for every terms council.
