The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) will be hosting a workshop to evaluate the means and methods of inclusion of the Prince Edward Island’s marine habitats and biodiversity into the 2018 National Biodiversity Assessment.
This inclusion presents an opportunity to create an updated spatial understanding of marine biodiversity at the islands, and therefore an opportunity to lay an important foundation for future management decisions.
The workshop is open to all interested stakeholders and experts, allowing them to have input into how this inclusion happens, what data should be used, and what priorities are set. (click here for more information)
International stakeholders: we would appreciate it if you would simply indicate your interest (or not) as we will email the presented plan for comment.
