The DTTC HPTN 084 team based at the DTTC Kuilsrivier location took time out today to celebrate World AIDS Day. HPTN 084 has shown intramuscular cabotegravir (IM CAB) to be highly effective in preventing HIV in women aged 18 to 45.  Excitingly IM CAB is now becoming available as standard care in high burden countries and will be a powerful component of the toolbox of interventions for the fight against HIV/AIDS going forward.
