The new prices for 2016 is available here and will be on the main CAF website soon.

We want to encourage students and users to work independently on all equipment. Trained users who can work independently will benefit from the reduced price, so please make sure you request training from our staff.

Of course, the decision to allow a user to work independently or even after hours remain the discretion of the Unit staff. All users who can work independently are required to complete the Safety Agreement and will be held responsible for the proper and safe usage of the facility and its instruments.

Training courses will be presented often during the year, so keep an eye out for the notices about these. However, training will also be offered on a one-to-one basis with a user’s own samples at the cost of normal assisted time.

Due to the removal of the “Equipment Sign-up” feature being removed from Quartzy, we have developed a new booking system for our users.

The booking system will allow users to register themselves and the booking procedure is quite simple.

There are a few things you need to be aware of:

1. No cancellations can be made within 23 hours before your booking. If there were unforseen circumstances, you can contact staff to request that they cancel your booking if this is a valid request.
2. The booking system will be used for invoicing purposes, so make sure you book accurately.
3. If you are trained and want to book after hours, we can give you advanced access. Please contact staff to request access after hours. Then, to make a booking, click on any slot during office hours and change the times to after hours when you want to come.

The new newsletter is out! Read about the Indian Ocean Rim Muscle Colloquium where some of our users performed very well.
