INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW SHORT COURSE – 24 TO 26 JULY 2013

A sound understanding of Intellectual Property Law is imperative to succeed in any competitive environment and increasingly relevant to non-legal practitioners. This course will offer a theoretical and practice-driven introduction to the law of patents, trade marks, copyright and designs. It will equip attendees with the skills required to identify, protect and promote the benefi ts of IP and demystify IP law to legal and non-legal professionals.

Facilitated by Prof Owen Dean, incumbent of the Anton Mostert Chair of Intellectual Property at Stellenbosch University, author of the Handbook of South African Copyright Law and consultant to Spoor & Fisher, and Lee-Ann Tong, senior lecturer of Intellectual Property Law at UCT. Presented by a panel of leading academics and specialist IP Law practitioners.
