National Review of the Bachelor of Laws programme

The Council on Higher Education (CHE) informed Stellenbosch University on Tuesday 10 November that it has decided to keep the status of our LLB’s accreditation ‘conditional accreditation’. Although they are satisfied with our improvement plan relating to student diversity they requested additional information about the SU language policy with specific reference to the diversity profiles of our students and staff. The CHE also requested further information regarding clear targets for improving our staff demographics.  The Faculty is committed to improving the demographic representativeness of our staff and is pursuing all viable avenues to do so. We will engage with the CHE to ascertain which additional information they require and will submit a further improvement plan in due course.
