Professor Marshall McCue is the Chief Scientific Officer at Sable Systems International and his research focuses on metabolism and comparative physiology. He has published over 60 peer reviewed papers and edited the book, Comparative Physiology of Fasting, Starvation, and Food Limitation. McCue is an associate editor for the journals Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology and Physiological and Biochemical Zoology and has been a member of the American Physiological Society since 2002.
While visiting the C·I·B, Marshall will facilitate a workshop titled ‘Using Stable Isotopes to Study Invasion Biology’. The workshop aims to introduce participants to the usage of stable isotopes, describe less-common isotopic techniques that can be used to examine how organisms use nutrients from their environments, and the general applicability of these techniques to invasion biology. Marshall will be working with C·I·B Core Team members, Prof Susana Clusella-Trullas and Prof John Terblanche.
